"And when the creature opened her jaws to swallow their weakened bodies, suddenly She appeared, burning with a holy fire, surrounded by the Sun´s light. The monster turned around to fight her; and so they fought till the coming of dawn. The dark one wanted to flee, but Her fangs held its neck tight, and no matter how hard the monster tried, she never let it go, even after her death.

When the Sun was high enough in the sky, his warm light touched Her, blessing forever her dead body. The Sun gave Her a place by his side on the skies, naming her forever guardian of the night sky, for she had fought the dark one, making the nights safe for her kind.

Her people saw her rise, her silver silken fur turning into silvery light untill no place in the earth was dark anymore.

The wolves howled in a lone voice, a summon of her packmate´s spirit now gone by the Sun´s side. "Be our guide Luna in the dark hours, and we will never be lost again".

And since then, Luna watchs over us, facing the side of the earth were the dark ones lurk endlessly."

Her always changing tatoos are alive, at least to me, and can tell stories. Her character made me think in a storyteller, and so I thought of a little story for the picture, and then illustrated it .
