I got a fake mail two days ago, from an address listed as paypal_accounts. It said there was a problem with my account, an unusual activity, and that they (paypal) were limiting the access to my account untill I verified my settings. There were some links to paypal where I could verify them.
This is not a joke or a chain mail, it happened to me; and the e-mail was done in a very professional languaje; I thought it was true at first!
But instead of clicking the links on the e-mail; I went to the actual paypal site and logged in. Everything was normal, and my account was running as usual. I sent the fake mail to the paypal policy, and they answered to me warning that the site was fooling paypal users and making them give out their passwords; also told me to change my password inmediately if I had clicked on any of the links and given my PW away; and to look out for unexpected activities on the account and warn them.

Really, I have received fake mails from banks in the past, and they were ridiculous. One could say they were false even before reading them; but this one was different. And I had a VISA attached to the account; imagine the disaster if those guys had gotten my password! Look out for this kind of mails, please and DON`T OPEN THEM IF YOU ARE NOT SURE THEY DON´T COME FROM PAYPAL. Go to the paypal real site and inform.
