Quick poll to see how sincere you are... *evil grin*
I was asking this myself after checking around 500 deviations from people today and realizing funny things. It is not the same to check deviations everyday then to see deviations from two consecutive months.

Nope, there is no "neither" or "other" option here. Just choose what you feel more important among those two (regarding art, of course).

obviously both is good...but if i see a piece of art where the artist may not be that accomplished, but has obviously tried very hard, I'll leave some form of feedback :)

I know what effort is, but I'm not so sure what aesthetics is. Sorry for my lack of vocabulary. Is it more like an artistic approach on someone or something?

Yeah, it is something like the visual impact, the "beauty" of the picture.

I would say both, but I'm more on effort. :)

erm.

I'd say technical skill followed closely by personality (the part my work always seems to lack :()

I suppose that falls under effort because to develop a style that's both anatomically accurate AND individual takes massive amounts of time and practice.

I think those voting effort are full of sh*t! The art cannot show effort without being aesthetically pleasing. Unless you see process shots, you'll never know exactly how much effort is in a piece of art unless it was made apparent.
